About Diabetes Education
Rebekah McLaughlin specialises in diabetes education for type 1 and 2 diabetes, pre-diabetes, Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM’s) and Diabetes self-management education.
Diabetes education at our clinic is provided by Rebekah Mclaughlin. Rebekah has a bachelor of nursing and has been nursing since 2019. She obtained her Graduate Certificate in Diabetes education and Management in 2022 and progressed to be a Credentialled diabetes educator in 2023. Rebekah’s services include the following:
- Type 1 diabetes
- Type 2 diabetes
- Pre-diabetes
- Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM’s)

Patients are required to pay the full fee at time of consultation.
Private health insurance rebates for Diabetes Education are processed through HiCAPS.
Medicare rebate is only available for eligible referrals such as Medicare GPMP/TCA (GP management plan / Team Care Arrangement) or Group Allied Health Services under Medicare for Patients with Type 2 Diabetes referrals. There is a gap between the Medicare rebate and our fees. Medicare requires payment of the full fee at time of consultation.
DVA health cards (Gold and White) are accepted as payment upon a GP referral.
Eligible patients may arrange payment via a Third Party such as NDIS, ITC or Workcover Qld.
