Dr Shanna Bailey qualified from University College London medical school in July 2007. After her 2 intern years in hospital jobs, she started Anaesthetic training in the greater London area, where she gained experience in emergency medicine, Intensive care medicine and Anaesthetics. Following the birth of her 2nd child, she decided to retrain in general practice and has been working as a fully qualified full time GP since the start of 2019.
Shanna relocated to Australia in March 2021 with her family, and began working at the clinic in April 2021. She has a special interest in women’s and child health. She has undertaken training to be able to offer a variety of contraceptive options at the clinic including fitting Mirena and copper coils. She is also able to offer antenatal shared care alongside normal GP care such as long term management of chronic disease. During school term times, Dr Bailey runs a GP clinic at North Bundaberg State High School for enrolled students at the school.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, baking and exploring Queensland.
