Our Bundaberg LungSmart Physiotherapy program provides individual physiotherapy consultation focused on optimisation of lung health and respiratory symptom control.
LungSmart Physiotherapy supports patients and their doctor/s to develop and regularly review a suitable management plan for controlling their symptoms of lung disease.
Program Information
The LungSmart Physiotherapy program offers consultation with adult cardio-respiratory physiotherapy expertise, particularly for respiratory conditions such as COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease), Asthma, Emphysema, Bronchiectasis, Interstitial Lung Disease, Pulmonary Fibrosis and Lung cancer. It includes thorough patient assessment and standardised outcome measure assessment, followed by evidence-based therapies tailored to the individual. This service supports patients and their doctor/s to develop and regularly review a suitable management plan for controlling their symptoms of lung disease.
Mr Simon Halloran is the Program Director. Simon has a Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy graduating in 1997 from The University of Queensland. He has been responsible for the clinical operation of pulmonary rehabilitation programs and chronic respiratory disease physiotherapy clinics in Bundaberg since 2006. He is a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association, and of the Lung Foundation Australia Pulmonary Rehabilitation Network. He is a contributing author to the TSANZ Australian and New Zealand Pulmonary Rehabilitation Guidelines. He was a contributing author for the ‘Better Living with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease: A Patient Guide’, now published in its Third Edition by Lung Foundation Australia. He is a certified Level 2 Kinetic Link Training Coach.

Our physiotherapists are all Members of the Australian Physiotherapy Association, and registered health practitioners with AHPRA.
- Private health insurance rebates for Physiotherapy processed through HiCAPS.
- Medicare rebate is available for eligible Medicare GPMP/TCA (GP Management Plan / Team Care Arrangement) referrals. There is a gap between the Medicare rebate and our fees. Medicare requires you to pay the full fee at time of consultation.
- DVA Health Cards (Gold and White) are accepted as payment upon a GP referral.
