Dr Whiting trained in Medicine at the University of Leeds in the UK; he graduated in 2003 having achieved a first class degree in Anatomy along the way.
The early part of his career was spent in basic surgical training in Yorkshire with a particular interest in orthopaedics. He became a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2007 before leaving surgery behind to get married and enter General Practice training back in his home town of Southend in the summer of 2008.
After qualifying as a GP in 2011 he went on to become a partner and GP Trainer in 2014. Subsequent to this he developed a special interest in community surgery and trained in carpal tunnel surgery and vasectomy provision. During this time, he also provided on call services to the local children’s hospice.
Having left the UK at the end of 2021 he is now excited to start providing friendly, high quality care to patients at the Branyan Clinic.
His particular interests are musculoskeletal medicine and men’s health (including vasectomies) but welcomes all patients.
At home he has his lovely wife and daughters to keep him busy enjoys DIY and mastering his pizza oven.
